HISTORY
OLÉ PRODUÇÕES IS A PRODUCTION COMPANY ESTABLISHED IN 2007 AND HAS AS PARTNERS GAL BUITONI AND LUIZ FERRAZ. WE STARTED PRODUCING SHORT FILMS AND DOCUMENTARIES, BETTING ON PARTNERSHIPS WITH PRODUCER AND COLLABORATORS. THESE PROJECTS WERE AWARDED AND SCREENED IN GREAT FESTIVALS SUCH AS IT'S ALL TRUE, FESTIVAL DO RIO, CINE CEARÁ, KARLOVY VARY (CZECH REPUBLIC), DOCSMX (MEXICO) AMONG OTHERS.

In parallel to these projects, we have always been working in big production companies and TVs like O2 films, Bossa Nova films, Mixer, TV Cultura among others. We got in contact with major feature film projects, series and great documentaries, which brought us great experiences.

Then when we decided to make bigger projects, through state (Proac-ICMS) and federal (Audiovisual Law) incentive laws. We have been able to develop projects that have attracted companies interested in investing in culture. The feature film Vilanova Artigas: The Architect and the Light was a great multi-platform project, involving dozens of professionals with the partnership with Itaú Cultural. We were recognized with the award for best Lusophone film at the 3rd Arquiteturas Film Festival (Lisbon), and the architect’s centenary project was awarded with the APCA prize for the cultural actions set in 2015. In addition, we spent 11 weeks in theaters and 7 capitals. Today O2 Play distributes VOD on iTunes, Google Play and Vimeo On Demand.

At the same time as Olé’s projects evolved, our experiences with major producers continued: directing non-fiction series for such channels as Natgeo and TV Globo and producing fiction series for Multishow and Warner Channel. From then, our efforts to work on non-fiction projects became the priority at Olé Produções and the creation of new perspectives in the audiovisual sector with the new laws as Article 39, Article 3A and the various lines of the Audiovisual Sector Fund (FSA) made new project formats could be possible. Thus, the natural way was the partnership with television channels, as we had already noticed in our experiences in major festivals and international markets such as IDFA and Berlinale.

With Globonews and Globo Filmes we produced Miller & Fried – The Origins of Football’s Nation, with Globosat the series of 10 episodes “Derby Day”, with FishTV the series of 13 documentaries “Treasures of the Tapajós” and with the Channel Curta! the documentary feature film “It’s All A Plan”, which was elected best documentary by the public at the São Paulo International Film Festival in 2017. Our possibilities of business models have grown more and more, opening new fronts of work with many collaborators: directors, producers, writers and researchers bringing good stories in several stages of development. We realize that in addition to developing our own stories, we’ve developed projects with partners that are viable and reach the public at the movies, film festivals, on TV, on the web, or even in cultural action. Sometimes a project just need an executive production consulting to take off, other times we need to get more involved.

Olé Produções believes in good stories and we think every day how to create them. Our purpose is to produce, take away from the head, the HD or even the drawer those ideas that can become an executive project, that executive project then can become a series proposal, that proposal of documentary that can become a real production. New films, documentaries and series will be produced by us, join us.

Producer and Executive Producer of cinema and TV. Her most recent work was the series “The Secretary of the President” (15×28 ‘), directed by Julia Jordan by Mixer in coproduction with Multishow and the feature film “A Boyfriend for My Wife” (100’) Julia Rezende, where he was executive production assistant in Paris Productions.

By Olé Productions, she produced the documentaries “” Vilanova Artigas: The Architect and the Light “(90), co-production with the Itaú Cultural and distributed by O2 Play in theaters throughout Brazil,” Miller & Fried – The Birth of Football’s Nation”(70 ‘) co-production with Globo Filmes and Globonews and “Football and Barriers”(110’), shown at São Paulo Film Festival and awarded at the LAIFF of Buenos Aires. Also produced more than 10 shorts, documentaries shown and awarded in several festivals in Brazil and the world such as Festival of Rio, Gramado Film Festival, It’s All True, Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic), DOCSDF (Mexico), among others. On TV produced the documentary series “Classic Day” (10×28 ‘), coproduction with Globosat, the reality show “SOS Foot in Ass” (13×28’) a co-production between Los Bragas and Warner Channel and the reality “Living with the Enemy (8×28 ‘) to the A&E Channel at Plataforma TV. She worked at the majors production companies in Brazil as O2 Filmes, Bossa Nova Films and New Content, TV Cultura and for 3 years in the It’s All True Festival.

Luiz Ferraz

His most recents works were the documentary “Miller & Fried – The Birth of Football’s Nation” (70′) co-production with Globo Filmes and Globonews, the documentary series “Stories Extraordinary Brazil” (8×44′) for Natgeo and 2 seasons of factual series “Wild World of Richard Rasmussen” (9×48 ‘and 4×44’) also for Natgeo. He also directed several documentaries screened and awarded at majors festivals such as Rio Festival, It’s All True, DOCSDF (Mexico), Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic), among others. As a producer, his most important works are “Derby Day” (10×28 ‘), coproduction with +Globosat, “Vilanova Artigas: The Architect and the Light” (90’), coproduction with Itaú Cultural, distributed in theaters around Brazil and screened and awarded in several festivals of architecture and design in the world, and the documentary “Football and Barriers (110 ‘), which premiered in São Paulo Film festival and awarded the LAIFF of Buenos Aires. He is currently producing the documentary” Paulo Mendes da Rocha: Everything is Project “(70 ‘) and the series” Treasures of the Tapajós” (13×28’), FSA winner for the FishTV. He also develop projects for branded content and internet markets, where he directed projects for brands such as Nissan, Smirnoff, Ford, Itaú Personnalité, Petrobras, Sony, Braskem, Flexform, Qualcomm, Sugar Loaf, Audi, among others, always using the documentary approach as device to tell their stories.
